Settings

The Settings page is where you manage your account, company profile, notification preferences, team invites, and subscription plan. Navigate there at app.digichef.co/settings.

Settings are organised into tabs. The tabs available to you depend on your role — company owners and admins see all tabs, while other users see a subset.

General

The General tab controls account-wide settings for your company, such as your target food cost percentage. DigiChef uses this target to:

  • Calculate the Suggested Menu Price on each recipe's detail page
  • Flag recipes whose food cost percentage is above your target on the dashboard

Set your target food cost to a value that reflects your concept and pricing strategy. Most full-service restaurants target 28–35%.

Company Profile

Manage your company's details and branding:

  • Company Name — the name of your organisation as it appears in DigiChef
  • Company Logo — upload a logo to personalise your account and appear on PDF exports (plating guides, recipe guides)

Email Notifications

Control which email notifications DigiChef sends to your account. Common notification types include:

  • Invoice imported — confirmation when a PDF or EDI invoice has been successfully processed
  • Import failed — alert when a PDF import could not be completed
  • Price variance — notification when a product's price changes by more than a configured threshold

Adjust these to match your workflow — frequent users may prefer fewer emails; those who check DigiChef less often may want more proactive alerts.

Invites

The Invites tab is where company owners and admins can invite new users to join their DigiChef account.

  1. Enter the invitee's email address.
  2. Click Send Invite.

The invited user will receive an email with a link to create their account and join your company. Pending invites are listed below the invite form, and can be cancelled if needed.

INFO

Only company owners and admins can send invites and see this tab. Standard users do not have access to invite functionality.

Plan Usage

The Plan Usage tab shows how your current usage compares to the limits of your subscription plan:

MetricWhat it tracks
PDF ImportsMonthly PDF invoice imports used vs. your plan's monthly allowance
MenusTotal menus created vs. your plan limit
RecipesTotal plating and prep recipes vs. your plan limit
SuppliersTotal suppliers vs. your plan limit

Your PDF Import quota resets monthly. Other limits are based on your total count at any time.

TIP

If you're approaching a plan limit, consider upgrading your subscription from the Billing page — or review whether there are archived suppliers, unused menus, or deprecated recipes that can be cleaned up.

User Profile

The User Profile tab is where each individual user manages their own personal details:

  • Name and email address
  • Password — change your password at any time; passwords must be at least 8 characters and include a letter, number, and special character

These settings are personal to your login — changing them does not affect other users in your company.
